Vacation in Kelowna

I spent last week in Kelowna BC, celebrating the wedding of my great friends, Neil and Pam! They met during our first year of university at orientation! We played a gig that night(I was part of a band of rock stars called U-Turn) and I wore a grass skirt and Nike high tops, which Pam reminded me of during the speeches :)

It was an amazing week, and Kelowna reminds me a lot of my hometown, Corner Brook NL. The view from a rental home we visited looked like the Bay of Islands.

Here are some photos from touring around Kelowna. It's a beautiful place, if you ever have a chance to go there, I highly recommend it!

I have some exciting things coming up, stay tuned for more!

Cheers,
Matt

Vacation - North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

This is something I've never done before, I'm a pretty private person, but I haven't been showing you who I am, what I do and what I'm all about. I've decided to be more open with you and show you more of me :)

I took a week off in April and went to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a much needed vacation! We stayed on Barefoot Resort in a condo and soaked up a lot of sun!

We did a lot of exploring, went to Charleston, which was founded in 1670 by English colonists. It has cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages and pastel antebellum houses. The city has some pretty cool "row housing" which reminded me of St. John's, Newfoundland. We also went to Magnolia Plantation and ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp :) during our trip to Charleston.

I was excited to get out and play some golf, as I haven't really swung a club since October! It was sooo relaxing to be able to sit by the pool, with a cold drink in hand and catch some rays.

One the way back from SC, we stopped over in Atlanta where we were treated to some great piano music at a pub in the airport......... and some great pizza of course! I mean who doesn't love pizza and live music?

I had an amazing vacation, thanks for reading this blog post. Do you have any vacation plans for this year? Let me know, right in the comments below!
